John H. Baker

John H. Baker practices Real Estate and Litigation in Athens and the surrounding area.  He has gained experience in Athens since admission to the Georgia Bar in 2002 in various specialties including criminal, construction, real estate, and personal injury.

John graduated from Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 2002. Since admitted to the Georgia Bar, John was a founding graduate of the State Bar of Georgia Leadership Academy and has served as district representative to the State Bar's Young Lawyer's Division. John is a member of the Western Judicial Circuit Bar Association. He is admitted to practice law in the Georgia Court of Appeals and Georgia Supreme Court as well as in all State and Superior Courts in Georgia. John also represents clients in the Middle District of the United States District Court.

John’s wife, Shannon Howell Baker, publishes Athena and Athens Parent Magazine.
