A homeowner has the right to work that is performed on time and in a skilled and workmanlike manner. The recent movement toward licensing contractors doing major projects or builds will likely improve results for the general public; however, there are steps that should be taken prior to entering an agreement for work to be performed on a restoration, renovation, addition or build that will protect the homeowner against work that is not performed as promised. Contractor
